Free training for prospective foster carers:
Would you be interested in coming to a free training event for prospective foster carers to find out how a therapeutic approach can benefit children and young people who are in foster care?
Our partner company The Estuary Centre will be holding two workshops as detailed below:
An Introduction to Life Story Work
19th June 2015
The session highlights the importance of life story work and explores creative resources and ideas that participants can utilise with children and young people they work with.
What is Life story work? This training for prospective foster carers explains that life story work is a social work intervention with children and adults designed to recognise their past, present, and future. It is prominently used with children who will be adopted, and older adults as part of reminiscence therapies.
Internet Offending and Social Media
10th July 2015
An introduction to theory and treatments for young people at risk of offending over the internet or vulnerable whilst accessing the internet and/or social media.
If you are interested in attending either of these training for prospective foster carers, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
