Today took us to London for the day! After a short walk from the train station to the Tower Millennium Pier at the Tower of London, we got on an open topped Thames boat. During the round trip to Westminster Bridge and back, the children completed a quiz on the various tourist attractions they saw and ate their lunch.
A short walk from the boat was the bus stop for the Open Top City Bus tour. We sat upstairs and listened to the commentary. The bus followed the Thames and crossed the river at the London Eye where we changed buses and took a trip around the West End.
At the end of the tour we had ice creams and watched the street entertainers for a while, before getting the train back home.
A full and busy day and everyone had a great time!
