EASTER ACTIVITY – LONDON – 2018
The day started with the group getting on a train to London. There was lots of chattering on the journey and the sun was shining!
Once in London, the first stop was at Tower Pier to get a City Cruise to Greenwich. Everyone sat on top in the open air and thoroughly enjoyed the 30 minute sailing. Then they walked under the Thames in the foot tunnel which fascinated everyone with the realisation they were walking under water! From there they walked to Greenwich Park and visited the Royal Observatory.
It was then time for a much needed lunch break and they had a picnic in the park, interspersed with tree climbing.
This was followed by a show in the Planetarium and the inevitable visit to the gift shop!
The journey home was a lovely walk down the hill, through the park via the ice-cream shop, to board the boat back to Tower Pier.
